Recently, the World Bank EdTech team, Robert Hawkins and Dean Kline, spoke with Victor Hu and Stavros Yiannouka of WISE (https://www.wise-qatar.org) about the state of the edtech investment environment globally. They speak about the state of the market for edtech entrepreneurs, prospects for edtech investment in low- and middle-income markets, and what is needed to create more robust ecosystems that align the interests of public and private sector players. WISE and the World Bank are leading a new Community of Practice starting with 20 EdTech Innovation Hubs from around the world, and in this episode they discuss with Lumos Capital Group how this Community might be of help to bring quality edtech to emerging markets to address the needs of underserved learners.
