It's an exciting day here at Lumos Capital Group! We're thrilled to introduce you to our two new team members who have joined us this week at our NYC base.
Marina Weidmann was previously an Associate at Macquarie Group, where she advised companies and investors in education technology and services, media and other sectors as part of the Software & Services team. During her time at Macquarie, she worked on a range of M&A and capital-raising transactions, developing a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities within fast-evolving human capital development market segments. Outside of work, Marina enjoys running and workout classes, trying new coffee places and spending time with friends and family. Welcome, Marina!
Ellen Flax is joining us from EY-Parthenon where she was a Consultant in their Private Equity Practice (Education). Ellen worked with clients in the U.S. and abroad to conduct diligence on companies across the K-12, higher education, and corporate training markets. She also provided strategic advisory services to public and private sector organizations, including advising a U.S. state government on how to reimagine financing their public colleges and universities to better support equity efforts and improve learner outcomes. Outside of the office, Ellen volunteers as a writing and critical thinking advisor for Minds Matter NYC and also enjoys running, traveling, and a good novel. Welcome, Ellen!
